This listed sector covers
some 650 Ha, including approximately 50 ha of wineyards.
On the slopes of the
lowest foothills of the Alps, at an altitude between 200 and 300
meters above sea level, all within the territorial limits of the
city of Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes department. This typically
Mediterranean vineyard enjoys considerable sunshine (approximately
2.700 hours each years), precious rainfall (838mm/33") and
a special microclimate due to its location at a relatively high
altitude and its virtually constant exposure to the Mistral
and Tramontane winds.

This climate provides
the conditions for the gradual maturation essential for creating
fresh, elegant white and rosé wines. The vines are planted
on narrow agricultural terraces, or restanques, cut into
the poudingue, conglomerate made up of river cobbles in very
pale sand with occasional lenses of clay. The combination of such
excellent conditions furthers the expression and full maturity of
the grapes in the harmony of the red wines.
